Sports have always been a constant in my life. In high school, I played volleyball, basketball, and even floor hockey, and while I loved competing, I also experienced the mental ups and downs that come with being an athlete. When I graduated high school, I realized I wasn't ready to step away from sports. Instead, I decided to shift my focus: helping athletes navigate the mental side of competition!
l earned my M.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in the Psychosocial Aspects of Sport and Physical Activity from Michigan State University, where I focused on the factors that shape athletic performance. My research explored coaching methods and behavioral management strategies that help youth athletes grow, both in sport and beyond. My B.S. in Human Development from Binghamton University gave me the foundation to understand each client within their cultural and developmental context.
I've worked as a mental coach for athletes from middle school through collegiate levels, and I have trained coaches to better support their athletes. Across all levels, my work focuses on helping athletes understand their mindset, build healthy routines, and develop the internal tools they need to perform consistently. Together, we focus on building mental skills to increase confidence, resilience, teamwork, communication, and using sport as a space for positive growth.
I also bring experience in student-athlete academic support for NCAA Division I and Big Ten programs, which helps me view athletes holistically and understand the many factors that influence performance. In addition, I coach youth volleyball and basketball and have served as an athletic administrator, further grounding my work in real on-court experience.
